Overview
The Fitness Professional is responsible for supporting all members in championing happier, and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. They will provide a positive member experience that is educational, supportive, and upholds the integrity of the Club.
Responsibilities
- Provides fitness assessments for all assigned members to review fitness goals and physical abilities and as needed, design a personalized fitness routine
- Actively markets and promotes current facilities and programs to build book of business
- Is present on the fitness floor and available for questions, instructing proper form, or educating members on how to use fitness equipment
- Cleans or replaces equipment after use during and after each session and assists in the general cleanliness and upkeep of the fitness center
- Enforces all Club policies and rules to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
- Is available for collaboration and training opportunities with the tennis and golf departments and is expected to assist with all fitness related events and programs
- Is trained and educated on the Recreation Front Desk and is able to assist members with court reservations, fitness reservations, point-of-sale purchases and Recreation pub food and beverage offerings
- Is expected to sub or assist with small-group and group exercise class offerings including but not limited to bootcamps, Pilates, yoga, strength and cardio, and youth programs
- Is expected to attend all Recreation staff meetings and trainings as directed by management
- Assist with any other tasks as directed by the Fitness and Wellness Supervisor or Director of Recreation
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Candidates must a Certified Personal Trainer through NSCA, ACSM, NASM or other approved associations
- Outgoing and engaging personality
- Ability to positively promote classes, lessons, and other training resources at Hallbrook Country Club
- Must possess at the time of application and maintain a valid CPR/AED certification
- Preferred candidates will be certified in Titleist Performance Institute or have experience working with tennis player and golfers
- Preferred candidates with have a Bachelors and/or Masters degree in exercise science or related field
- Preferred candidates will have 3 years’ experience in the fitness industry
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to walk frequently.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- This position may require an individual to work some holidays and weekends.
