Balia Nanny Referral Agency is seeking a superstar Nanny/House Manager to join a warm and welcoming Greek-Italian family in Rumson, NJ.
About the Family:
- Fun-loving and active family who enjoys the outdoors, cooking, and spending quality time together.
- Recently relocated from Los Angeles and seeking a nanny who shares their love for adventure
- Value education and play-based learning, and desire a nanny who shares their approach.
- Open to occasional family travel (not mandatory but a plus!).
About the Children:
- Two adorable and energetic children - a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old.
- Eager to learn and explore the world around them.
The Role:
Nanny Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, nurturing, and stimulating care for both children.
- Engage them in educational activities and playful interactions to help them develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
- Organize and oversee their daily routines, including nap times, meals, and outings.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks like laundry (including the whole house) and dishes.
- Transport the children to and from school/activities (driver's license and car required, mileage reimbursed).
- Be open to occasional travel with the family (optional).
House Manager Responsibilities:
- Coordinate family schedules, appointments, and deliveries.
- Maintain household inventory and restock as needed.
- Prepare delicious meals for the family, adhering to any dietary restrictions.
- Oversee and delegate tasks to cleaning and maintenance personnel (if applicable).
- Care for the family's friendly 12-year-old dog by letting him outside and wiping his feet when he comes in, playing with him.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Full-time position: 30-35 hours a week starting at 7:30 am with the potential for more hours
* More hours may be available upon request but not required
- Competitive hourly rate of up to $25.00 (non-exempt position).
- Occasional Saturday mornings may be required in exchange for a weekday morning off (flexible schedule).
- Generous benefits package:
o 10 days paid vacation
o 3 paid sick days (with one month's notice required)
o 7 major paid holidays + overtime pay if working
o No healthcare stipend, but guaranteed work hours if needed
The Ideal Nanny/House Manager:
- At least 3 years of combined experience in nanny and house management roles (or demonstrably equivalent experience).
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Genuine love for children and a playful, energetic personality.
- Passionate about engaging in educational activities and fostering a love of learning.
- Highly organized, reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, family environment.
- Open to occasional family travel (a plus!).
