Reliable, fun &creative nanny needed for happy 6 month old

Location: Stirling, NJ

Schedule:

34 hours/week
Monday-Thursday: 10am-5pm
Fridays: 10am-4pm
*Can be flexible if nanny desires fewer hours on Fridays

Length: 1 year commitment

Start date: ASAP

Pay: $25/hour

Benefits:

6 weeks of paid vacation including 5 federal holidays (5 weeks of family’s choosing, 1 of nanny’s)

5 sick/personal days per year

About the children:

Child A: (7 months old): This happy little boy is very sweet and loves singing, reading, and playing with everyday things around the house (making music with pots/pans, playing outside, and on)

Ideal personality (of Nanny):

You are a positive and optimistic person who truly loves working with children. You do not consider yourself to be a very strict person; instead, you are a warm, go with the flow person who laughs easily and finds joy in the small and silly moments. You are happy for a day that entails messy finger painting, puddle jumping, and other impromptu, child-centered infant/toddler activities. You are a loving, warm person who enjoys spending time around adults as well as children, as the adults in the household work from home in private office spaces.

Requirements:

-Newborn experience

-Must be up to date on all childhood vaccines (including TDAP), plus, flu, COVID, and RSV if age-eligible)

-Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (family would provide a vehicle for emergency work related use only)

Responsibilities:

• Follow a developmentally appropriate schedule, which nanny will collaborate with parents to make, that ensures consistency in naps, meals, wake time, etc.
• Loving and attentive care of baby, including the meeting of all basic needs (diapering, pottying, bathing, eating, naps, etc.)
• Bottle preparation/sanitation, and light food preparation when baby starts solids
• Engage baby in learning and exploration via books, stories, art, songs and play
• Sing and dance with child; get silly!
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, with a focus on developmental milestones
• Foster confidence via nurturing care
• Spend time outdoors when weather permits (playing in the yard, going on stroller walks around the neighborhood)
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of spaces you use in the home (essentially: leave the house how you found it)
• When baby is napping: Laundry for the child Preparation of meals for child

Important to note:

• Must love dogs: This family has a sweet 65 pound golden retriever. Nanny will have no responsibilities related to care of the dog, but should be comfortable around large dogs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
