Job Description
This role will involve maintaining patient medical records with strict confidentiality, assisting practitioners during procedures, and coordinating daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Recording patient medical histories, vitals, and test results, while ensuring the confidentiality of all patient information.
- Managing daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and maintenance of medical records.
- Preparing treatment rooms for examinations and assisting during medical procedures.
- Providing compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Administering medications to patients as directed by physicians.
- Certification from a recognized Medical Assistant program or military medical corpsman program.
- At least 2 years of experience in a medical setting.
- High school diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, coding procedures, and clinical pharmacology appropriate for the scope of Medical Assistant practice.
- Proficiency with electronic medical health care record systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
