Senior Analyst, Transport Spend Controls

Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems is recruiting for a Sr. Analyst, Global Transportation Spend Controls based in onsite in New Brunswick, NJ, or any other J&J sites in the Americas or EMEA regions. This role is eligible to participate in J&J Flex hybrid model, working at least 3 days each week onsite and up to 2 days remotely.

As the Sr. Analyst, Global Transportation Spend Controls, you will be the key person to deliver insights in freight spend to J&J transport operations. Your role will involve strategic planning, financial and freight analysis and governing the procure to pay process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Budget governance : Be the first-in-line to respond to financial inquiries from finance, procurement, operations, and the business. Responsible to submit the financial cycle deliverables, attend and prepare the monthly BVA and create or govern the accrual submissions.
• Budget & volume forecasting process : Process owner for the budget for global transportation operations. Assist in creating accurate financial projections aligned with strategic objectives partnering with Operations, Finance, Planning, Franchise Integration and Procurement. Develop the budget from forecast, master data and transaction data and translate into a strategic cost plan.
• Cost allocation rules governance: Responsible for the governance of the business rules that are used to allocate transportation cost to the right management reporting company.
• Freight Pay & Audit : Contribute to the implementation of efficient processes and key metrics for freight payment, focusing on effectiveness, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Spend performance Analytics : Assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimize transportation spend, leveraging advanced analytics tools to identify trends and provide insights. Transforming data analysis into actionable insights, supporting long-term planning, and enhancing monitoring and controls for preventive measures.
• Performance Monitoring : Monitoring and reporting on transportation-related spend performance metrics, conducting trend analysis, budget variation assessments, and identifying areas for improvement.
• Demonstrate agility and accountability in executing assigned tasks and projects. Foster continuous learning and adaptability to new analytical techniques and technologies.

Qualifications

• • Understanding of transportation industry.
  • Experience in processing large data sets, creating context from data and building data models.
  • Relevant experience related to budgeting, forecasting, freight pay.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Familiarity with SAP, TMS, Transportation Visibility solutions, and analytical platforms (Power BI, Alteryx, Celonis, Tableau, Data-Lake).

  Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, accounting, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of overall business experience, with preferred focus on Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Project Management, Resource to Pay, Business Analytics, or related areas.
  • Solid results-driven skills and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate in a matrixed, global organization, influencing partners and building relationships.
  • Experience in supporting data consolidation projects, participating in solution design and deployment.

  Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications related to logistics, transportation, finance, or project management.

  The anticipated base pay range for this position is $90,000- $144,900. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
