Full-Time Family Assistant In Freedom Park For A Newborn

Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Freedom Park in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their newborn baby. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, 40 hours a week.

The best Family Assistant would be dependable, nurturing, patient, fun, active, and should be passionate about caring for infants. It is important to the family to find a Family Assistant who will be attentive to their child's needs and collaborate with the parents to establish a daily schedule. The Family Assistant should create an educational environment that will foster growth and encourage the child to meet their developmental milestones. During the day, the Family Assistant should read to the child, engage the child in developmental activities such as Tummy Time and playing with toys, going on strolls, and playing outside when the weather allows. As the child grows, the Family Assistant should take the child on outings such as going to the Park, the Library, Story Time, and other age-appropriate activities throughout the community. Mom has a fluid work schedule and will be off for weeks at a time; during nap time and the days mom is home, the family Assistant will work on the household duties listed below. The family has a second home in the North Carolina mountains, and it would be a bonus if the Family Assistant could occasionally travel with them. This is a long-term position, and the family is looking for aFamily Assistant who will grow with their family and become an extension of the family.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Child's laundry and changing child's sheets weekly

• Child's meal prep

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher and sanitizing bottles

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Picking up after the nanny and child throughout the day

• Emptying diaper trash

• Grocery shopping and running errands

• Organizing tasks

Pets: The family has two Shih Tzu dogs. Mom would like the Family Assistant to divide and conquer with her by monitoring them when they go outside during the day and taking them on occasional walks.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver's license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the annual Flu Vaccine and TDAP, before starting the position.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts February 1st, 2024

• Legal pay is offered at $35.00 - $40.00 an hour, negotiable depending on experience
