Position for full-time Assistant Professor of Professional Practice - Artist/Teacher in the Choral Studies Program, Department of Vocal Performance. Responsibilities will include conducting one or more choral ensembles and teaching courses in choral music to undergraduate and graduate students. Courses will be determined by departmental need and candidate expertise, and may include choral literature, arranging, methods, or choral conducting. Appointees will be expected to collaborate with the Department of Vocal Performance faculty regarding relevant recruiting, organizing, and concert programming matters.
Doctoral degree preferred. However, candidates with exceptional professional and/or academic credentials will also be considered. Successful candidates will demonstrate a record of ensemble conducting and teaching at the collegiate level.
