HII Unmanned Systems (HII UxS) is seeking a skilled Full Stack Software Developer to join our User Interface (UI) development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing frontend and backend software for a complex web application. Translating software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. You will be actively engaged in developing the next generation UI for our Unmanned system product portfolio, and in doing so will perform the following duties:
• Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Identifying web-based user interactions.
• Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.
• Writing application interface codes using JavaScript following react.js workflows.
• Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
• Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
• Monitoring and improving front-end and back-end performance.
• Documenting application changes and developing updates.
What you will be doing...
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
What we are looking for...

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics Engineering.
• Understanding of key UI design principles.
• 2+ years of experience in Full Stack development
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Redux, and Flux.
• Strong background in end-to-end UI development including proficiency in common languages such as Java Spring, HTML5, JavaScript, .net, TypeScript, etc. as well as microservices development.
• REST API development experience
• Relational DB experience
• Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.
• Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
• Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
• Monitoring and improving front-end performance.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) along with ability to foster relationship development with sponsors.
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a government clearance #LI-MH1 *TE *EP *MV

Bonus points for...
• 5+ years of experience in Full Stack development.
• Documenting software design in UML.
• Developing and documenting application requirements and interface designs.
• Agile development methodology and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence).
