The National Pork Board is seeking a Full Stack Developer. Reporting to the AVP of Technology, the Full Stack Developer will be responsible for building scalable and efficient server-side applications, while also collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using modern web development frameworks. This role will be also responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying web applications across the entire stack.
Essential Job Functions:
- Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Code Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring the overall efficiency and reliability of the applications.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal functionality and user experience.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for both internal and external use.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Full Stack Development.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing solutions on the AWS platform.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Experience working with databases, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Ability to analyze problems and strategize effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Pay Information
Full-time Salary Range: $110,000-$125,000
Please note: This starting range is based on a general market pay assessment. However, individual salaries decisions take into account a variety of factors including but not limited to: business and local market considerations, and internal equity, as well as overall candidate skills, education and experience.
This position is located at our home office in Clive, IA. Employees may work a hybrid schedule once hired.
The National Pork Board has responsibility for Checkoff-funded research, promotion and consumer information projects and for communicating with pork producers and the public.
