Job Description
The job will focus on the software development of the Skydweller Mission Planning Suite which will deliver awareness to the mission planning and evaluation function of flight operations. The tool is based on a web application that displays several sets of information to the user including weather planning components to manage flight planning, flight tracking and flight replay of long duration missions.
The responsibilities include:
• Designing and implementing frontend components that enable to display critical information clearly and efficiently.
• Designing and implementing the back-end that supports the application. This includes databases, APIs and DevOps for productionizing the tool.
• Ensuring the robustness of the code through extensive testing and automation.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design efficient, safe code.
• Documenting the software.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, a related field or equivalent working experience.
• Experience working as a front-end, back-end or full-Stack Developer.
• Strong commitment to develop clean code with an emphasis on both user experience and maintainability.
• Experience with UI design.
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Pytest, Cypress) and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with ability to adapt and to interact well in diverse team environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Master of Science in Software Engineering or Related Field.
• Experience developing web-based applications oriented to UAVs.
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications with Docker.
• Experience with Cesium, Open Layers, Leaflet or any other JS mapping library.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, railway or defense industries in software development.
