SBL recently launched the Silent Beacon 2.0 panic button, a Bluetooth ® wearable safety device, and Enterprise Safety Solutions, a workplace safety portal. As we support the launch of several products including the Silent Beacon 2.0 and Enterprise Safety Solutions, SBL is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Full-Stack Developer to join our growing team, improve critical response time, support 5 9 up-time, collaborate with our development and manufacturing teams, and help our company achieve optimal service reliability. The ideal candidate has proven experience developing and maintaining desktop and mobile applications, expertise in front-end and back-end systems, is an excellent communicator and manager, displays great attention to detail, and is highly organized.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong systems, software, and cloud environments and provide operations and maintenance for critical systems;
- Provide technical expertise and support in the design, development, implementation, and testing of customer tools and applications;
- Participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope of work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing;
- Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, SpringBoot, Hibernate, and Angular;
- Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods;
- Develop and integrate custom-developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies;
- Develop, prototype, and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging infrastructure platform services;
- Coordinate closely with CTO and developers to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases;
- Analyze (though proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs;
- Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices;
- Use industry-leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting;
- Document and Perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leverage GitFlow constructs;
- Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness;
- Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to monitor activities and articulate progress updates to upper management;
- Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures;
- Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers, and
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role;
- Experience developing desktop and mobile applications;
- Familiarity with common stacks;
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery);
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js);
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design, and
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field is preferred.
