We are looking for a Full Stack Developer who can bring modern machine learning and optimization models into production together working as a part of a highly multi-disciplinary team of data scientist, software development engineers, strategic partners, product managers and subject domain experts. The Full Stack Developer will take models developed by the data scientists and integrate them with the rest of the company's platform. This could involve building APIs around the model so that it can be served and consumed, developing user interfaces to visualize and interact with model results, and implementing monitoring capabilities to verify that solutions continue to provide accurate inferences.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience hands-on experience designing, developing, integrating, and running business, big data and/or data science applications.
- 1-2+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS as a developer.
- Experience developing with Python 3.
- Experience developing Angular applications.
- Experience working with AWS services with an emphasis on managed services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Aurora, S3, and API gateway.
- Experience developing infrastructure-as-code using AWS tools (e.g., Cloud Development Kit, Cloud Formation Templates).
- Experience with DevSecOps and automating application deployment, continuous delivery, and continuous integration (Git, GitLab, Jenkins).
- Experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., VersionOne, JIRA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and capability to understand and set direction for complex technology integration.
- Candidate must also have excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Must be a self-learner with the ability to pickup new technologies and provide tangible results.
- Front end design, develop, and test new templates, components, and applications as extensions of the Adobe CQ5 WCM product to support client's business requirements. New WCM capabilities would include:
- Localization of content
- Dynamic data display modules
- New pop-ups and modals
- Enhanced social media capabilities
- Responsive web development
- Integration with latest UI frameworks like node.js, bootstrap and angularJS
- Upgrade to new AEM versions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Functional knowledge of the airline business or airline IT processes
- BS/MS degree, preferably in a technical or scientific field
- An eye for detail
Reposibilities:
- This position will partner with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to operationalize machine learning and optimization models that deliver new insights to the business.
- Build data APIs and data delivery services that support critical operational and analytical applications for internal business operations, customers, and partners.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that model code, data pipelines, APIs, and user interfaces are developed and deployed successfully into production.
- Troubleshooting issues that arise and supporting production applications.
- Continuously integrate code into AWS cloud environments.
- Transform data science protypes into "production-ready” software products.
- Ensure a good data flow between database and backend systems.
- Optimize solutions for performance and scalability.
- Ensure that the methodology, standards, and procedures are implemented.
- Ensure that solutions meet the customers' business goals and that customer satisfaction with the project and conclusion is high.
- Coordinate activities with internal and external technology service providers.
- Consult within project team members, other teams, and outside vendors or consultants to ensure product integrity.
- Develop both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
- Develop amazingly efficient and effective software using Java, C#, Python, .Net, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs
- Enhance and maintain on prem and internal PAAS applications, and actively rework these to AWS along project timelines.
- Help to design and implement serverless patterns from containerized applications.
- Build industry standard APIs and help with establishing, consuming & routing calls, connectivity protocols and policy.Design, develop and implement architecture patterns that are optimized for SLAs, reliability, and cost.
- Look upstream and downstream to see around corners and anticipate future consequences for immediate technical choices.
- Help to establish and grow a culture of software craftsmanship best practices, including TDD/BDD and Test Automation (both Unit and Integration), Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
- Drive performance improvements including monitoring, detailed metrics, problems, trends, and costs, in order to determine solutions, required process changes, etc. that will make the function more efficient.
- Ensure adherence to security standards and compliance with privacy rules and regulations early in the development.
- Be aggressive to resolve and prevent technical debt.
- Actively engage in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, with an aim to continuously improve.
- Initiate and lead code reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
- Create usable documentation/playbook(s).
- Effectively analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs – communicate these across the team.
- Optimize pace and meet deadlines.
- Administer product upgrades and patches.
- Provide assistance and support other team members where required, including troubleshooting and maintenance of production systems/programs/applications.
- 24/7 On-call support rotation function is a component of this role.
