Overview:

As a Full Stack Data Analyst, you will occupy a pivotal role in harnessing data to drive informed decision-making across our media and publishing operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, employing your expertise in data analysis, database management, programming, data visualization, and predictive modeling. Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct comprehensive data analysis, including statistical analysis and predictive modeling, to generate actionable insights from various data sources.
    • Develop advanced reports and interactive dashboards to support news, marketing, product, and business strategies.
  • Database Management:
    • Design and maintain robust database structures (BigQuery, PostgreSql) to efficiently manage and retrieve data
    • Create and optimize complex ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Model Building and Machine Learning:
    • Work with consultants to build and deploy machine learning models to predict audience behavior, content performance, and advertising effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with teams to implement model-driven solutions for LTV prediction, churn propensity,  content recommendations, personalization, and user segmentation.
  • Programming and Automation:
    • Utilize programming languages like Python or R to automate data processes, develop custom data tools, and enhance analytical workflows.
    • Create data-driven applications to empower teams with real-time insights.
  • Data Visualization:
    • Develop compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards to convey insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Collaborate closely with teams to visualize complex trends, patterns, and critical metrics.
  • Data Governance:
    • Uphold data quality, security, and compliance with privacy regulations.
    • Implement and enforce data governance and best practices within the organization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate seamlessly with marketing, news, product and IT teams to align data analytics and data science with subscription business goals.
    • Work collaboratively across divisions to better understand various cohorts across the consumer lifecycle.
    • Work in tandem with data engineers to ensure the scalability and reliability of data pipelines.

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Full Stack Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong focus on data science and model building.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Demonstrated experience in machine learning model development, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Pickaxe, Tableau, Power BI, DOMO) and front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • In-depth knowledge of database systems, ETL processes, and data warehousing (Experience with BigQuery a plus).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic media environment.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations, and media industry trends is advantageous.

 

Pay Range: $110,000 - $145,000
