Full/ Part Time: Armed Protection And Life Safety Officer $24/Hr

ArmorTech Security is seeking qualified personnel for our Armed Protection and Life Safety Officer positions in Solana Beach, California. This position requires officers to display a high degree of attention to detail, tact, common sense and customer service.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must answer all questions for consideration.
• MUST have experience in Law Enforcement, Military, AND/ OR a minimum of 5 years of armed Security Service.
• MUST be able to maintain the confidentiality of restricted and/or sensitive information.
• MUST have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a customer service capacity.
• MUST be in possession of current and valid BSIS Guard AND Firearm Certifications and capable of maintaining certification.
• MUST be able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds to carry a minimum of 150 feet.
• MUST pass a Background Investigation.
• MUST have a clear criminal history; no felonies or Class A misdemeanors.
• MUST be eligible to work in the United States.
• MUST possess a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
• MUST be 21 years of age or older.
• MUST have a reliable and personally owned vehicle with a valid driver's license.
• MUST have full-duty gear and personal protective equipment or willing to purchase prior to shift start.
• Must complete security assessments provided by Indeed.

THE ARMED PROTECTION AND LIFE SAFETY OFFICER DUTIES include, but are not limited to:

• Screen and/ or execute property searches for personnel entering/ exiting the facility as needed.
• Monitoring facility activities to ensure appropriate behavior before, during, and after operating hours.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of the facility; deterring unauthorized personnel from entering facility grounds.
• Monitor CCTV and radio communication channels.
• Conduct periodic safety checks of facility grounds; ensuring entry and exit ways are secured and free from obstruction.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Security Manager and client.

LANGUAGE SKILLS - Must be able to:

• Write and speak clearly and concisely using appropriate grammar, punctuation, and spelling; write organized, complete, accurate, and factual reports.
• Understand and apply written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations.
• Bilingual preferred

TECH AND COMPUTER SKILLS - Must be able to:

• Demonstrate use of laptops, two-way radios, fire/ access control, smartphones, and surveillance/ body camera devices.

PHYSICAL AND TRAINING STANDARDS

1) Individuals proposed for assignment as security officers will have at least 5 years of satisfactory employment in a similar capacity; those proposed for supervisory service will have at least 3 years’ experience as an officer within ArmorTech Security.

2) Any person proposed for assignment will be subject to employment, criminal and social screening and investigation in compliance with California State regulations.

3) Individuals proposed for assignment must be in good general health without physical defects or abnormalities that would interfere with the performance of normal and emergency duties. Each officer must meet the following physical standards:

• Possessing binocular vision, correctable to 20/30 (Snellen).
• Able to discriminate among standard colors.
• Capable of hearing ordinary conversation at 20 feet and whispered conversation at 10 feet with each ear.
• Able to perform normal and emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion such as standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs, running for short distances, self-defense, demonstrating full dexterity of hands.

LIFE SAFETY (EMERGENCY)- Must be able to:

• Obtain, demonstrate, and Maintain CPR/ AED skill-sets and certification.
• Have a visual acuity that can be corrected to 20/20 with corrective lenses.
• Exercise use of force when absolutely necessary, using physical agility, tact and restraint.
• Demonstrate proficient use and accuracy of non-lethal and lethal emergency equipment including, but not limited to firearms.

All hired candidates will be required to begin their post unarmed for a period of no less than two weeks prior to transitioning to Armed. A minimum probationary period of 90 days is provided for all newly hired candidates.
