We are seeking a motivated and innovative Director of Fulfillment to lead our shipping department and drive process improvements to meet our increasing order demand.
About the Position:
As the Fulfillment Director at Rowe Casa, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our shipping department. You will lead a growing organization of 30 employees and directly supervise the Shipping Supervisor. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and optimize all aspects of order fulfillment, ensuring the timely and accurate processing and shipment of customer orders, both for retail customers and wholesale partners.
Key Roles and Responsibilities (not limited to):
Team Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership to a growing team of 25 fulfillment specialists.
- Supervise and collaborate closely with the Shipping Supervisor to ensure departmental success.
- Work with the Shipping Supervisor to set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members including addressing performance and disciplinary issues.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
Order Fulfillment Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shipping department, ensuring all orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Manage and prioritize the workflow to meet daily and monthly order volume targets.
Efficiency and Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement strategies to modernize and improve fulfillment processes, increasing overall efficiency.
- Identify and implement new technology and automation solutions to streamline operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to shipping and logistics.
Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards for order accuracy and quality control.
- Implement quality checks and audits to minimize errors and reduce returns.
Vendor and Carrier Relations:
- Manage relationships with shipping carriers and third-party vendors.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on fulfillment performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and take action accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in order fulfillment or logistics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully modernizing and optimizing fulfillment processes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management and forecasting.
- Familiarity with shipping software and systems.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
