**$5,000 Sign-on Bonus: Get rewarded for joining our team and receive:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct Child Care with Medically-fragile children ranging from infancy to teen pediatrics
- Parent/Child Education and Training
- Developmental Interventions
- Psychosocial Support
- Professionalism and Patience

- Environment and Safety
- Oversee team of LPN’s CNA/Techs
Primary Registered Nurse (RN) Functions:
- Assumes a load of primary patients with special responsibility for: updates and revises protocol of care monthly or more often as needed; continuously supervises child’s progress and parent’s status to evaluate appropriateness of child’s care plan and makes revisions as necessary; and remains available to child’s family for consultation.
- Oversee the maintenance of patient records for completion and accuracy.
- Assists the Clinical Lead with orientation and training of nursing staff.
- Serves as a positive role model by providing guidance for nursing staff.
- Thorough understanding and compliance with the standards for person-centered care by assisting children to attain the highest level of growth and development.
- Maintains the security of the premises and reports unusual occurrences to proper authority.
- Learn, absorb and apply professional training, follow doctor’s orders, and maintain standards of care.
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing, or Diploma with a minimum of 1 or more years' experience with 6 months of pediatric specialty care experience for medically fragile and complex children.
- Current, active license to practice as an RN in the State of Louisiana or a compact license
- Current CPR certification required
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Environment: Work is performed primarily in a PDHC setting with extensive patient contact. Due to the nature of the work, you may be exposed to bodily fluids and odors on an occasional basis.
- Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work with a patient; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 30 lbs); and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
- Vision: Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing: Normal audio range, with or without correction.
