- Meet or exceed daily tooling goals as directed by the supervisor and the departmental objectives.
- Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift and report any malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed in accordance with Company Policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Tasks and authority of the Position:
- Execute modifications, engineering changes, or repairs of molds within specified time schedules.
- Maintain records of work performed as required using Maintenance Dude System and work order procedure.
- Assist injection molding department by troubleshooting mold operations.
- Must demonstrate the ability to use required hand tools for the Mold Department and have all tools and equipment required to perform work prior to beginning at WIFO.
- Ability to manage or supervise
- Must demonstrate understanding of mold specifications and ensure they are correct in the tool.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read tool designs.
- Fabricate equipment as required.
Requirements:
- Must have High School Diploma or GED or completion of Apprenticeship Program.
- Must have minimum three years production environment experience in injection molding or related field.
- Lathe and Mill experience.
- Computer skills an asset.
- Experience with productions of technical plastic parts.
- Experience with fully automated and robot sized injection molding machines and peripheral equipment, Wittman robots and Engel molding machines.
- Must be capable of performing repetitive motion for four (4) to six (6) hours a day.
- Ability to climb stairs is necessary.
- This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of six (6) hours a day and have the ability to carry up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Associate’s Degree in a technical field of study preferred.
- Welding experience preferred.
- 5-8 years injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
