ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND COMPETENCIES
- Responsible for and demonstrates competence in multi-line telephones. This involves scheduling patient appointments, assisting with patient questions and concerns, and directing calls to appropriate staff. Deliver accurate messages to appropriate staff.
- Maintain treatment schedule for outpatient physical therapists. Follow up with no show patients and cancellations. Monitor therapist’s schedules daily to insure full workloads and take appropriate action when needed.
- Greet all patients when they arrive for appointments, check them in and collect payments prior to patients’ appointments.
- Communicate appropriately with physicians, office staff and patients concerning patient scheduling and medical records.
- Perform office bookkeeping and other accounting procedures on a daily basis. Responsible for reconciliation of patient information and schedule.
- Perform patient registration, re-registration using the intake form and input information into computer system. Gather insurance information and prescriptions at initial evaluation.
- Responsible for notification of therapists of new patients and physician orders for changes in patient care.
Perform other duties as directed by Office Supervisor. This role requires highly proficient computer skills operating in a fast paced medical office setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
