What's Expected of You:
As a full-time FOH Manager reporting to the GM, you'll be an essential member of our incredible leadership team. We're counting on you to lead and coordinate the entire Front of House team in delivering top-notch customer service, while creating a fun, positive, and caring environment every day. You'll have a lot on your plate, but don't worry, we're here to support you every step of the way.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Be the face of our brand, ensuring that every guest receives an exceptional experience that keeps them coming back for more.
- Effectively address and resolve guest complaints so that no guest leaves unhappy.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop front-of-house team members.
- Manage smooth opening, shift transfers, and closing procedures to maintain consistent service standards from start to finish.
- Achieve objectives in sales, service, quality, facility appearance, cleanliness, guest loyalty, and team member loyalty.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions with team members.
- Oversee bar inventory and restocking.
- Prepare schedules two weeks in advance so that team members can plan their personal lives and so that the restaurant is adequately staffed while accounting for labor costs.
- Foster an environment of open and authentic communication and lead with a positive and supportive attitude aligned with Tande Thai's values.
- Create a nurturing environment that promotes personal development and internal career growth for all team members.
- Review operational processes and financials to detect and resolve issues and discrepancies while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Comply with all internal policies and procedures and current federal/state/local health, safety, and labor regulations.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, so you know your way around the ins and outs of customer service.
- At least 3 years of experience in restaurant management or leadership positions.
- Exceptional leadership skills; strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills; and the ability to multitask like a pro.
- Ability to manage, train, coach, and motivate a diverse employee group.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide outstanding guest service under pressure.
- Ability to speak and write in English professionally and effectively.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software. Experience with restaurant software (Toast POS, scheduling, inventory) is a plus.
- Availability to work varying shifts in mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Some heavy lifting or physical tasks (bending, stooping, or climbing stairs) may be required.
