Position Overview:
The Receptionist position assists patients, family members, and visitors face-to-face and with phone inquiries regarding the offered services. As the first contact for all visitors, the receptionist is friendly and welcoming, while staying on top of other assigned tasks in between.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am to 1:00 pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist patients/family members/visitors with phone and face-to-face inquiries about the services offered at Heartview.
- Complete intakes over the phone on clients requesting treatment services.
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- Answers phone calls, schedules meetings, and supports visitors.
- Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, email, and mail.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support for patient registration and check-in.
- Make reminder calls for upcoming appointments.
- Communicate closely with clinical staff and the admissions team.
- Assist with the submission of patient insurance verification.
- Provide a professional, well-maintained area for patients, family members, and visitors entering the facility.
- Complete UAs in the lab on the evening(s) scheduled to work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Six months of experience in reception/office work preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and move around office space as needed.
- Visual acuity that is sufficient enough to use a computer screen for extended periods.
- Ability to utilize verbal and written communication styles clearly and effectively.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
