This is an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding office with a team of young and accomplished physicians. The practice has been expanding rapidly and is now looking to hire a Front Desk Receptionist. This position will be responsible for performing basic front office duties but should be willing to assist in the back-office duties on an as needed basis.
- Greeting patients.
- Checking insurance eligibility.
- Checking the patients in and out.
- Scheduling appointments.
- EMR Charting- Kareo experience is a plus.
- Perform support functions as needed. This may include but is not limited to entering patient data into registration system, escorting patients to exam room, assisting patients and/or families in completing appropriate paperwork.
- Assist with other clerical work, such as respond to messages, answer phones, checking faxes etc.
- If needed, assist with, procedures such as pulmonary function tests, 6-minute walk tests and Covid-19 tests.
- Assist with submission of prior authorizations with HMO groups.
- Collect co-payments, deductibles, and reconcile daily cash report.
- If needed, interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and current medications.
- If needed, take and document vital signs. This may include, but is not limited to: patients height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure manually but not limited to use of device.
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings as needed.
- Assist with inventory organization and stocking of exam rooms and labs.
- Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including but not limited to, financial and client information.
- Other duties as assigned.
A bilingual Spanish speaker is a plus!
