SalaryNS Grand Street a rapidly growing holistic health and wellness practice is seeking for a "Front Desk" to join our team. Will greet patients and assist the staff in all billing related responsibilities as well as scheduling, insurance/benefits verification and other administrative duties as necessary. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Front desk responsibilities including greeting patients, registration, phone calls, scheduling, insurance/benefits verification, conducting patient inquiries and data entry of patient information.
- Assisting in managing the billing process including collecting and posting of insurance/cash payments and invoicing patients
- Coordinating directly with practitioner Therapist to ensure optimal patient flow in the office.
- Candidate must be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team, a quick learner and work well under pressure. Customer service experience and moderate to experienced computer skills are necessary (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, assorted databases)
Hours per week: Full time
Monday - Friday availability between 9am-5pm
Location: 407 Rockaway Ave. Brooklyn // 1968 2nd ave New York
Requirements
- At least one (1) year of experience in a medical office (Required)
- Experience in a healthcare environment is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of insurance policies and procedures preferred.
- Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor.
- Skilled communicator - written and verbal.
- Able to multitask, manage time wisely; detail-oriented.
- Team-player with a positive attitude
- bilingual is a plus.
