Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate positive relationship-building skills with referral sources and members of the team
• Oversee, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks as assigned
• Exhibit critical thinking skills by anticipating and responding proactively to situations and self-direction
• Ensure accurate schedule and coordinate appointments
• Communicate with referral sources and various service sites to coordinate care and provide a smooth transition for persons served
• Develop and maintain an organized work environment
• Record, file, and maintain current information pertinent to the operation of the department and maintains medical records of persons served
• Verify insurance coverage with claims representatives, case managers, and employers
• Maintain medical records and provide required documentation to the payor to assure payment
• Complete chart for billing utilizing appropriate IT software and systems
• Illustrate an understanding of payor processes

Requirements:

• High school diploma GED equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Completion of medical terminology course preferred as well as other relevant experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Outlook
• Demonstrate flexibility to learn additional IT applications as assigned
• 2+ years of registration, billing, or other healthcare-related experience preferred
