Come grow with us! Jervey Eye Group is seeking an experienced, dependable, positive individual to work at our Front Desk. We pride ourselves on excellent patient care and service. We are seeking candidates who have exceptional customer service skills to greet, check-in/check-out, receive payments, and assist our patients!
Essential Functions
- Communicates effectively with patients to achieve understanding of their needs, and the ability to take actions consistent with meeting these needs.
- Maintains an appointment schedule according to established protocols in a computerized environment.
- Responds to internal and external inquiries, performs research as requested, resolves problems, and reports back as requested/ per policy.
- Consistently follows and complies with rules established by administration.
- Organize, verify, and input data in EHR.
- Collects payments and resolves first-level billing questions and concerns.
- Assists in scheduling follow-up appointments.
Skills/ Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate across interdisciplinary team of physicians and staff members. Must be able to multitask and take initiative.
- Excellent customer service skills both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
- Requires skills in operating computers, electronic health record software, fax machines and copier machines.
- Communicates calmly and clearly with patients about appointments in all circumstances including when they are urgent or emergent.
- Maintains a professional, stable demeanor in an office setting.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experienced preferred in a medical office setting.
