Appalachian Eye Care is looking for an experienced Medical Front Desk

Receptionist:

● Greet and assist our patients and other visitors.

● Check patients in and out

● Process paperwork

● Schedule appointments

● Pull insurance authorizations

● Field phone calls and respond to emails

● Keep our records and work areas clean and organized

● Ensure our office provides a welcoming environment for our patients

● Manage referral appointments

Medical Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications:

● Experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role is

preferred.

● Familiar with medical terminology

● Knowledge of electronic health records handling procedures according to HIPAA

guidelines is preferred

● Excellent organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Supplemental pay types:

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
