About the role:
The Front Desk Manager directs and controls the activities of the Front Desk to create a special welcoming and memorable experience for our guests. Their primary responsibilities are to ensure the smooth registration and cashiering functions of the Front Desk. They oversee a team of Assistant Managers and Front Desk staff, ensuring accurate communication and follow-up on any problems, guest requests, and special requirements . The Front Desk Manager reviews daily arrivals, VIPs, special requests , group needs, room assignments and coordinates with the Housekeeping Department for the needs of guests.
What you will do:
Manages arrivals, departures and billing requirements. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups. Assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed.
Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports and select and block rooms for arriving guests .
Acts in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available. Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services.
Responsible for recruitment, training, and staff schedules . Conducts Performance Evaluations and documentation of staff when needed.
Ensures standards are being met, staff are being supported and guest satisfaction is high and r esponds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner
What you bring:
Minimum 2 + year s experience in a similar role , in a luxury hotel setting preferred.
R equires excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and challenge a diverse team.
Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, good problem solving ability and proficiency in hotel property management systems including: Opera and Micros.
T his role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.
Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States. Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Salary range: $75k - $85k annually

Schedule & Hours:
This is a full-time position.
A successful candidate will have the ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts , weekends, and holidays.
