```Job Overview```
We are seeking a compassionate Front Desk assistant to join our team. As a Front Desk assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in a variety of administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a clinical setting and contribute to the well-being of patients.
```Duties```
- Greet, receive and prepare patients for appointments
-Faciliate patient check out after appointments
- Support clinical staff in facilitating work for throughout the day
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Handle medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient information, coding medical procedures, requesting prior authorization, booking OR time
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment in a manner consistent with OSHA standards, CLIA requiremetns and Universal Precautions procedures
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and materials
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing necessary information
- Prepare timely, legible and complete documentation of all patient care
- Oversee that incoming requests from patients, providers, pharmacies and insurance carriers are recorded and triaged / completed in a timely manner
- Participate in quality improvement and utlilization review activities
```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff. Proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Proficient in medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records, and working with electronic medical records
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic life support certification is a plus
