Our family dentistry practice is looking for an outstanding Front Desk Coordinator/Dental Assistant! Our practice is well-established and we are seeking an additional team member to care for our wonderful family of patients! This position will have cross training capabilities since the 2 positions work intimately with each other. The position will start as a Front Desk coordinator position, then cross train for dental assisting in the future.
Position Summary: Patient coordinators are the first point of contact for patients as a practice and also have key responsibilities in many day-to-day administrative office activities. Plan and coordinate supportive services of the practice such as recordkeeping, patient reception, scheduling, and other office support services. Responsible to prepare, present, and schedule patients for treatment plans following Dentist’s exam notes and direction. Set up any financial arrangements, collect payments from patients and insurance companies. Direct and ensure compliance of office personnel on company policy regarding collection procedures and practices. Must be able to take direction and follow through on tasks given, work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Dental assistant will assist the Dentist, Dental Hygienist, and Dental Assistants in both administrative and clinical duties. Provide patient and practice support services; including, but not limited to, personal assistance, medical attention, and emotional support. This team member motivates, educates, and provides excellent treatment. He/she will educate patients on oral hygiene, understand procedures, get patient consents and be able to answer questions patients may have, take and develop diagnosable X-rays, or apply fluoride accurately, assist dentist proactively during procedures.
