Freight Dispatcher

1.

Plan and schedule the routes for the delivery of oversea containers. Dispatchers must optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries and efficient use of resources.

2.

Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, drayage’s, and warehouse staff. This involves communicating delivery schedules, addressing concerns, and providing updates.

3.

Use tracking systems and websites to monitor the location of vehicles and personnel, ensuring they are on schedule and identifying any issues that may cause delays. Such as vehicle breakdowns, traffic delays, or port exam. This requires quick thinking and problem solving ability.

4.

Maintain detailed records of all kinds of dispatch activities, including delivery schedules, vehicle information, driver details. This information is crucial for accountability and performance evaluation.

5.

Monitor and enforce safety protocols, ensuring that drivers and personnel follow best practices to minimize risks and accidents.

6.

Provide necessary training and support to drivers and other dispatch staff, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed for their roles.

7.

In some cases, dispatchers may also be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring that goods are stocked and ready for dispatch.

Coordinate the transfer loads between warehouses through different transportation modes to ensure efficient delivery.

9.

Manage the process of shipping out orders, which includes verifying the items to be shipped, and scheduling the pickup by the delivery service. For example. Amazon shipping and UPS. This duty requires attention to detail to ensure that orders are accurate and dispatched in a timely manner.

1. Legal working permit.

2. Good communication skills in English and Mandarin preferably, with ability to interact professionally with drivers, operators and other stakeholders

3. College degree or major in logistic is preferred.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.

5. Proven experience in dispatching and logistics coordination, preferably in Warehouse industry.

6. Have a strong sense of responsibility, ability to organize multiple activities for self and others and coordinate completion of tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
