Static Media is looking for an entry-level, creative Digital PR Associate to drive media attention through compelling storytelling and strategic outreach campaigns. Your role involves researching and crafting newsworthy angles, constantly monitoring the news cycle, and performing outreach to media outlets. With exceptional attention to detail, you'll build targeted media lists, cultivate relationships with journalists, and craft press releases tailored to grab attention. Collaborating with our content team, you'll steer content strategy to ensure PR alignment and identify areas where we can stand out in the competitive landscape.
As a pivotal member of our SEO team, you'll promote content exclusives and proactively identify existing content for outreach, leveraging timely data insights to enhance our brands' visibility and authority. Your proactive approach to seeking out media opportunities will be instrumental in elevating our brands' online presence and achieving our SEO objectives.

- Create and research stories to drive media attention
- Deliver high-quality backlinks through newsjacking and outreach
- Continually monitor the news cycle for coverage opportunities
- Build targeted media lists and reach out to relevant media outlets with tailored stories
- Craft press releases with newsworthy stories and data
- Build relationships with journalists across various industries
- Understand competitors' PR tactics and identify areas for differentiation
- Collaborate with the content team on PR-aligned strategy
- Stay updated on industry trends
- Pursue media opportunities beyond scheduled work
- Contribute creative ideas in brainstorming sessions
- Build effective outreach strategies
- Complete performance reports to keep track of results
- Learn new tools and skills to increase impact on the team
- Proactively identify existing content for new outreach
REQUIREMENTS
- Passionate about pop culture and following the latest news
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail in executing outreach strategies
- Creative, curious, and eager to learn
- Genuine interest in audience insights and trends
- Genuine interest in using data for storytelling
- Aptitude for combining quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Skilled at relationship-building
- Background in marketing, content, advertising, or PR preferred
- 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5-m) preferred
