Location: Jersey City, NY

Base Salary Range: 180k to 250k USD (depending on years of experience and skill sets)

We are the consulting division of Davies, accelerating business, technology and people performance across financial services including banking, asset and wealth management, insurance and other highly regulated industries.

The Financial Crime & Compliance practice is a global advisory business.  We advise financial services clients in meeting their regulatory obligations, assessing and mitigating financial crime risks and managing change within their FCC organizations.  We have sub practices within the FCC business - Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Fraud, Governance Risk and Compliance and Markets Trade Compliance. 

 

The opportunity:

Davies is currently seeking a senior Fraud expert to join its team on a permanent basis in New York at a Partner / Director level.

This role will add significant senior Fraud expertise and accelerate the growth of our Global Fraud Practice, working alongside existing senior members of the Fraud team to drive the strategy to achieve a >$5m business within 3 years.

The candidate will focus on growing the Fraud business by identifying new revenue through cross selling and marketing campaigns, building out the range of propositions and services, and developing new capabilities.  The candidate will represent Davies in the international marketplace, leverage their existing networks and market presence, and develop new relationships with key senior leaders in the marketplace. 

 

You will:

  • Lead practice level strategy.
  • Lead delivery of complex Fraud offering for Davies.
  • Develop new business by identifying new client opportunities to bring in new business and/or developing new, innovative offerings for existing clients.
  • Develop the capability within the Davies resources to deliver these effectively.
  • Demonstrate exceptional SME knowledge of the Fraud domain, aiding the delivery of outstanding client work.
  • Proactively maintain a client network and bring new opportunities to Davies.
  • Reinforce effective business development activities for all employees.
  • Drive the integration of technology into our propositions and services to further increase differentiation.
  • Identify and cultivate new strategic relationships. Guide account planning for existing relationships.
  • Be the Account Lead for a number of client accounts.
  • Demonstrate new sales origination behaviors when delivering client work and through networking.
  • Lead the production of proposals, white papers, marketing material etc.
  • Display thought leadership and demonstrated industry recognition to push the Davies brand within the Fraud industry landscape.

 

Your experience:

Essential:

  • Degree level qualifications or equivalent plus further academic success.
  • At least 10-15 years in successful senior Fraud roles at financial services clients and in consulting/advisory
  • Extensive knowledge across Fraud end-to-end functions; deep-domain knowledge in specific areas is helpful.
  • Continuously develops self and others through feedback, as well as training and development initiatives.
  • Solid leadership and management skills, particularly in difficult / complex situations
  • Must be able to inspire others through personal behavior, the demonstration of values and a drive for continuous excellence.
  • Mentors' others in the art of leading assignments and account management and provides consistent feedback to staff for development purposes.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with C-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to build strong relationships through an effective consulting approach.
