SalaryLong Island Select Healthcare Inc. (LISH) is a comprehensive network of community health centers under a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) model. We provide Article 16 and 28 clinic services at 3 locations across Suffolk County, New York.
LISH is currently searching for a Full-Time Lead LPN who will support LISH's providers in the provision of patient care in our outpatient clinics. We are seeking compassionate, energetic, organized, and flexible individuals who will have the opportunity to work with experienced clinical staff.
General duties include:
- Review daily schedule and ensure set up of medical charts each day.
- Participates in Huddles and runs huddle when needed.
- Daily thorough cleaning of rooms as well as cleaning between patient turnovers.
- Obtain vital signs(blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) at each appointment.
- Collects blood samples via venipuncture and processes for lab testing, as required.
- Assists in Gynecology clinic and prepares pap slides for lab testing.
- Prepares and sterilizes instruments
- Receives and manages telephone calls
- Confirms schedules, appointments as needed
- Obtains necessary information for virtual visits.
- Performs EKGs as ordered by supervising physician/nurse practitioner
Requirements:
- NYS Licensed LPN
- Minimum of two years direct patient care experience, preferably in a fast paced ambulatory care setting/clinic.
- Scheduling Software and EMR experience, eClinicalworks preferred
- BLS certified
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Customer friendly attitude
- Ability and Means to travel between sites

Education
Required- Technical/other training or better in Nursing
- Associates or better in any field of study or related field
