JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse has immediate opening for a forklift driver in Walker, MI. Our client is a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier located near the airport in SE Grand Rapids/Kentwood area.

Wage: $17 - $18.25/hr

Shift:

1st 5a to 3:10p

2nd 3p to 1:10a

Fri/Sat OT: voluntary

This is a 4d/10Hr work schedule.

This position is 90 days Temp-to-hire.

Responsibilities of a Forklift Driver:

• Maneuvering forklifts safely in a busy environment.

· Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets.

· Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport.

· Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas.

· Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions.

· Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages.

· Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures.

· Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods.
