NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

We are looking for a part-timeWarehouse Forklift Operator II to be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift. This role will be responsible for picking orders and the loading/unloading of products into/from trucks at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform multiple duties throughout the entire plant using a variety of different forklift types (including electric and propane lifts) and forklift attachments for the transportation of containers including pallets, drums, and bins.

• Proper picking and staging of product and loading/unloading of product.
• Stay up to date and follow current company picking policies and procedures. Understand and follow FIFO (first in first out) and LIFO (last in first out).
• Maintain knowledge of all picking and shipping functions of radio frequency scanners.

Requirements:

• Forklift certification, at least 3 years of previous forklift operations experience, and ability to complete the company forklift safety and training course.
• Demonstrated experience to properly complete an inspection checklist prior to the operation of the forklift on your shift and drive a forklift in a production/warehouse environment, through various terrains in a safe and productive manner.
• Ability to transport up to 7 carts on given tasks when moving product.
• Ability to read and speak English and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Compensation:

The hourly union wage is $17.63.
