Food Technologist

J & J Snack Foods (JJSF), a highly successful and leading manufacturer of niche snack foods, has an opportunity for an experienced and creative Food Technologist in our Bellmawr, NJ facility.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Developing bench top prototypes

- Conducting production test runs

- Collecting and analyzing data

- Developing in-process and finished product specifications

- Generating ingredient statements and nutritional information

- Approving new raw materials and vendors

- Providing technical assistance to customers and various departments.

Ideal candidate will possess a B.S. in Food Science or related area, a minimum of 3 years food product development experience, and have a strong working knowledge of ingredient functionality and flavor, formulation, nutrition and food labeling regulations. Strong communication, ability to independently manage multiple projects, organization and computer skills (Excel, MS Word) are required. Bakery experience and a working knowledge of Genesis nutritional software is a plus.
