Job Description :
To receive, assemble and prepare food using specialized equipment. To serve food to patients, visitors and staff. To distribute food and supplies and perform sanitation duties. To act as team leader and train/develop new employees and students.
1. Monitors work flow and quality standards, making duty assignments and training staff as needed.
2. Receives, stores, prepares, and assembles food following safe food handling practices.
3. Safeguards all equipment through operation, assembly, care and maintenance.
4. Maintains a safe, clean and sanitary work environment.
5. Distributes and picks up food and supplies.
6. Handles cash according to standard procedures including proper security methods, verification of bank and drawer, and maintaining cash tolerance.
7. Serves food to patients, visitors, and staff.
8. Operates dish machine, scrubber, pressure washer and other related cleaning equipment to ensure that all serving ware, food production equipment and sanitation of kitchen is maintained.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED preferred and two (2) years of related experience required. Certified as completed the Food Handler Training Course by the Jefferson County Department of Health within twenty-one (21) days from date of employment required.
