Major job functions include daily meal preparation and serving, stocking and maintenance of food products/supplies, and cleaning and maintaining kitchen and food preparation equipment. Work is performed under the immediate supervision of the Senior Services Program Manager and the Kitchen Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include but are not limited to: Prepares all congregate and home-delivered meals served according to established menus Ensures that all safety and sanitation procedures are followed Checks all equipment to ensure that it is used safely, and is cleaned and stored properly Serves meals on food service line and ensures that proper portions are served Assists with packaging of home-delivered meals and ensures that meals meet temperature standards Cleans kitchen and surrounding area after preparation/serving is complete Ensures that perishables are properly rotated Maintains program supplies and re-stocks orders upon delivery; must be able to lift up to 30lbs. Maintains accurate records and files as assigned Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
