- Prepares a variety of food using standardized/approved recipes. Foods must be tasted for quality/flavor standards and corrected as needed. Batch cooking methods should be utilized to ensure the freshest possible product to our customers.
- Prepares foods for the following day.
- Sets up patient tray line and serves as assigned.
- Disassembles patient tray line and cleans/sanitizes steamtable.
- Performs cleaning assignments according to schedule.
- Ensures that the information for all quality/safety records (i.e. temperature logs) has been accurately gathered and recorded with all discrepancies brought to the attention of the person in charge at that time.
- Prepares and helps serve special functions/catering events.
- Garnishes foods in an attractive manner.
- Adheres to all safety and sanitation guidelines per ServSafe and Health Department standards.
- Completes any other duties (cashiers, serves in café or patient care areas, etc.) as assigned by FANS Management Staff.

High school or equivalent
Experience:
1 year cooking (institutional experience preferred)
1 year customer service
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:
ServSafe certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Safe food handling knowledge and skills.
