Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) FOOD SERVICE WORKER LEADER ~ without more than normal supervision. Skilled in passing on to other workers instructions received from supervisor and assigning tasks to individual members. Ensuring compliance with instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines. Checking work in progress and finished work for compliance. Answering questions from workers regarding procedures, policies and instructions. Assembling patient trays in a manner that makes them appealing to patients. Assure that safety, sanitation, and housekeeping rules are being followed. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
- PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work involves continuous standing and walking, mainly on concrete floors. Incumbent is subject to injuries from equipment used. Lifts up to 45 pounds, and with assistance weights up to 100 pounds.
- WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed predominately in the Patient Tray Service located adjacent to kitchen and dining rooms. Incumbent is exposed to dirt, grease, and water in cleaning tasks and is subject to extreme temperatures in storing and assembling items from walk-in refrigerators.
