Hours: Part-time, Monday - Friday, at Penn Manor HS, up to 177 days per school year - 8:45 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. - 5 hours per day.
Two positions available.
Overview:
The job of the Food Service Worker is responsible for providing support for all Food Service related activities within the assigned location. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food items to students, facility and staff as well as maintaining the facility in a safe and sanitary condition and complying with all mandated Federal/State/Local health requirement and HHFKA. This position reports to the Cafeteria Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the set-up of the serving line, assemble proper serving utensils, serves food at correct temperatures, serve lines; clean between serving periods, efficiently and in a positive attitude.
2. Assist with food preparation according to Food Service Manager's directives.
3. Maintain temperature records for each lunch line.
4. Prepare the dish room by filling detergent and drying agents to begin operations.
5. Ensure the washing, rinsing and sanitation of all pot sinks.
6. Clean and sanitize dish machine inside and outside.
7. Practice safe food preparation, care of equipment and strong sanitation standards.
8. Attend training seminars, workshops, staff development opportunities including any banquet work and school district functions.
9. Maintain ala carte inventory and keep items stocked and perform cashier duties.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have all required clearances: Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Clearance, and IdentoGo FBI Fingerprints through the Department of Education.
Penn Manor SD implements a pre-employment drug urinalysis test that must be completed at LGH Occupational Medicine, 2110 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.

- A minimum of one-year Food Service experience
