1. Assist the Cook with daily preparation of food in accordance with established menus, recipes, and sanitary standards.
2. Delivers meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
3. Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policy and procedures.
4. Delivering food trays and carts to patients in a professional and positive manner
5. Set up meal trays, food carts, as instructed
6. Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures, assure utensils are readily available for next meal.
7. Inventory and stocking of supplies to include condiments replenished in the café, kitchen, dining room and/or departments.
8. Reports for work in required uniform and as scheduled by the supervisor
9. Sets up and delivers trays for patients, according to diet cards, as directed by supervisor.
10. Must be able to positively interact with patients, guest, staff, supervisors and others.
11. Must be able to operate equipment related to cleaning but not limited to dishwasher, garbage disposal, and coffee and juice equipment.
- Keeps spills (liquid and/or food) cleaned as soon as practicable in accordance with cleaning instructions
- Cleans the dining room, serving line, dish room and kitchen after meals as assigned. Assists with closing down of kitchen to include ensuring dining room, serving line, dish room, storage rooms, and kitchen are clean; equipment turned off; doors, refrigerators, freezers, dry storage, exit doors are locked and trash emptied.
14. Records and documents refrigerator and freezer temperatures, and takes appropriate action if any temperature is out of range.
15. May serve as the cashier in the “Café” after being fully trained and only as directed by the Director and/or Supervisor.
16. Any other duties assigned as needed to help drive our Mission and abide by our organizations values.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English required.- Serv-Safe preferred but not required
