Job Description
This is a 6+ month contract located on-site in Greendale IN. There are no exceptions to being onsite.
Summary:
Initiate, coordinate and implement new product initiatives on new and existing products. Work with procurement, quality assurance, production, marketing, suppliers and customers to effectively develop products. Create product formulation, scale-up, labeling, select raw materials, and more. Responsible for all documentation from ideation to product launch and product maintenance.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Food Science, Food Engineering or related field
- 5+ years relevant experience in food preparation/food industry (preferably in the confectionary industry)
- Exp with nutritional gummies is helpful.
- Extensive leadership in one or more of the areas of R&D or QA
- Problem solving, verbal, communication, and listening skills, excellent analytical and decision-making abilities; good presentation skills.
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
•Ability to formulate, work with accounting to cost out products, and run the whole project from beginning to end.
