Food Safety Technician Job Description
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Food Safety Technicians role is to monitor adherence to GMP’s, take allergen swabs as needed, take environmental swabs when scheduled, assist with internal facility inspections, audits, and investigations, preform daily pre op on all processing areas and warehouse (ATP and APC swabbing and visuals), create daily pre op reports, and maintain the ATP swab units, perform glass breakage checks and continually monitor all lines for glass breakage throughout each shift and document findings, screen rejections from X rays. The Food Safety Technician will be crossed trained on responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Technicians to ensure a cross functional Quality and Food Safety Team.
