Food Prep Team Member

FLIGHT SUMMARY:

Aviator Coffee, a new coffee hospitality organization, is seeking a Food Prep Team Member that will be responsible for providing back of the house support with Food Prep, ingredients, cooking and cleaning at the fast casual coffee shop in Westchester, IL. The Food Prep Team Member will effectively create and produce Aviator Coffee food products while providing service knowledge to customers and Team Members. We are seeking outstanding go getters who want to learn and grow with us and help Aviator Coffee soar!

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a startup hospitality organization that will continue to grow throughout the state of Illinois. This individual must be motivated, positive, and eager to assist our new location through startup operations.

As a Food Prep Team Member your responsibilities will include:

• Provide exceptional customer service in accordance with Aviator Coffee standards to customers and Team Members.
• Provide back of the house support through Food Preparation, cooking, cleaning and inventory.
• Back of the house Food Preparation including, but not limited to: chopping of ingredients, cooking in oven and flat top grill, blending, cold prep items and using FIFO system to ensure fresh products and proper rotation.
• Ensures cleanliness of overall facility in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, while food safety standards are always respected.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise, and monitoring the floor’s inventory levels, as well as participating in inventory counts.
• Develop and maintain rapport with our customers, vendors, service providers and staff.
• Ensure customers’ concerns and questions are solved/answered promptly and efficiently; and communicate customers’ requests and problems to management when needed.
• Recommend, select, and help locate the product or services depending on their individual needs.
• Executes food to specification of Aviator Coffee’s recipes and of the customer’s request.
• Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
• Perform other related work as required.

Qualified candidates will have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or equivalent years of experience through education and experience.
• Previous back of house experience and Point of Sales (Toast) experience required.
• Prior experience in a fast-casual, drive through coffee shop preferred, but not required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to pass all required background checks and obtain BASSIT certification for food & beverage industry.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
