Under the direction of the Food Distribution Assistant Manager, the Food Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations and the performance of Food Packers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations.
- Ensure employees are properly trained to perform their functions and operate equipment effectively.
- Supervise and work closely with the Food Source Assistant Manager to control inventory, receipts and distribution of product.
- Ensure Food Distribution warehouse operations and practices follow governmental and grant requirements.
- Responsible for receiving and inspecting the quality and quantity of products.
- Other duties asassigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate/GED required.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Prior experience in Food Distribution/warehouse environment.
- Experience in a management/supervisory role highly preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License.
- Ability to work with a diverse staff and a variety of volunteers.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Obtain a Food Handlers card and follow food safety protocols.
- Have strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Prior experience working with Tribal organization is preferred.
- Must complete and pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screen.
- Must complete and pass pre-employment background check.
- Must be trustworthy and maintain confidentiality
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License
- Must be effective in time management and ability to multitask.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
