This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Dune Deck Beach Club, set outside of Westhampton Beach, New York.
Dune Deck Beach Club is seeking a F&B Supervisor to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. The F&B Supervisor is responsible to effectively and efficiently oversee the restaurant staff, and operations, alongside and in the absence of the Restaurnat Manager, with a focus on providing members and guests with professional and prompt service.
Seasonal Position: May 15, 2024 – Sept 30, 2024
Responsibilities
- Lead by example in the F&B department, and anticipate daily business levels
- Thoroughly monitor the restaurant, bar and comfort stations to ensure all areas are stocked, clean, prepped for service and all staff are assigned a task at all times
- Assist with any member or guest issues/concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Thorough understanding of restaurant menus and pricing, including liquor, wine and beer.
- Proficient with Jonas and all hardware associated
- Initiate pre-shift meetings when requested by Retaurant Manager
- Assist with daily scheduling of staff to ensure areas are staffed adequately along with monitoring punctuality
- Ensure continual product quality control and procedures are maintained daily by following checklists closely
- Continuously create and implement new ideas for training and development of F&B staff
- Facilitate service staff on the floor during all meal periods, including bussing, running food, refilling drinks and more
- Assist hostessing team with managing reservations and preparing a floor plan for service
- Facilitate private dinners and BEOs as needed
- Oversee pool/beach servers and overall service at the pool/beach as needed
- Monitor par levels of all operating supplies and equipment and notify manager when levels are low
- Consistently moinitor all bar equipment to be sure cleaning schedules and protocals are being followed
- Open or close the restaurant as needed ensuring opening and closing checklist is thoroughly completed
- Adhere to all company policy and procedures
- All government, safety, health, and security standards are complied through the department at all times
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Ability to work in a team environment and lead by example
- Culinary Degree/Certification(s) or relevant on job experience recommended
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages preferred
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (4) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling
Salary Range: Hourly $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
