Server Job Description
Job Summary
As a Server, you will provide an excellent guest dining experience as you focus on food presentation
and serving. You will also handle cashier transactions as well as setting up rooms where food
service activities are performed.
Responsibilities
Complete required set-up/preparation of area prior to scheduled activity
Inspect all equipment prior to, during and at the end of each shift
Report any deviations from standards to manager/supervisor
Inventory materials and supplies at beginning of shift
Obtain necessary supplies to support all levels of business
Prepare coffee, iced/hot tea and other beverages as required
Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen
staff is running out of any items…etc.
Check all plates prior to service for accuracy, completeness, appearance and presentation
Serve food to members and their guests following Service Standards
Properly open and pour wine at the table-side
Record all aspects of members/guests order accurately
Perform cashier functions (obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning
the change)
Monitor members and their guests, anticipates needs, responds to requests, ensures satisfaction
Monitor members and their guests alcohol consumption to prevent over indulgence and ensure
safety
Clear tables and breaks down area after completion of food service activity
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
Complete assigned end of shift duties
Assist with special events as needed
Become ServSafe
Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighing up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand, stoop and bend during entire shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $8.98 per hour
