Henderson Country Club, located in Henderson, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for Food and Beverage Servers. Founded in 1924, Henderson Country Club has been the community’s social and golf focal point for almost 100 years. In addition to an 18 hole Gene Hamm designed golf course, the club offers tennis, pool, fitness, and fine dining amenities. The golf course was recently renovated to enhance playability, maintainability, and strategic shot making for all skill levels of golfers.
Responsibilities of the Food and Beverage Server at Henderson Country Club include:
- Utilizes the point of sales system and places orders with the kitchen.
- Fills beverages, mentions daily specials, and answers any questions a guest may have.
- Suggests desserts, coffee, or after-dinner drinks.
- Attends all pre-meal meetings conducted by the Food and Beverage Manager or Executive Chef.
- Advises supervisor of any member complaints.
- Is responsible for cash handling and the accuracy of receipts at day’s end.
- Incorporates safe work practices and safe food handling standards.
- Completes side-work.
- Understands the basics of theft, waste, and pricing of Food and Beverage inventory items.
Required Skills
- The ability to sell (and upsell) Food and Beverage to guests by being cordial, helpful, and sincere.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Knowledge of mixology, wine, and beer.
- Ability to enforce company policies and laws and regulations regarding guest/member consumption of alcohol.
- Evaluation of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
