Food and Beverage Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
People:
- Manage daily activities, plan and assign work, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
- Train and supervise colleagues, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to create a positive work environment.
- Ensure staff has comprehensive knowledge of the menu and required certifications.
Guest Experience:
- Maintain operational condition and cleanliness of Food and Beverage equipment.
- Ensure all facilities, including the kitchen and dining spaces, are clean and stocked.
- Achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals, addressing guest requests and complaints promptly.
- Serve as a culinary expert, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with floor managers to proactively address service challenges.
Responsible Business:
- Manage Food and Beverage marketing programs and participate in system-wide promotions.
- Stay informed about competitor activity and industry innovations.
- Oversee Food and Beverage inventory procedures and establish par levels.
- Communicate program philosophy to the team and uphold standards.
Financial:
- Assist in preparing the multi outlet annual budget and departmental goals.
- Monitor and control expenses, focusing on food, beverage, and labor costs.
- Identify additional sales opportunities and drive promotions to enhance revenue.
- Ensure secure handling of credit and financial transactions.
Accountability:
This role oversees the kitchen, dining areas, and related outlets. It may involve supervising subordinate managers or supervisors.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Some college and/or advanced training in Food and Beverage management.
- 2 years of related experience, including supervisory experience, or equivalent combination.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Strongly preferred: Previous experience in hospitality or hotel settings.
- Experience managing and operating multi-outlet environments.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move about the facilities, lift items up to 50 pounds, handle food, objects, and perform bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Other Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with guests, employees, and third parties.
- Strong reading and writing abilities for completing paperwork and management reports.
- Proficient mathematical skills for budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances.
