RP is seeking FOIA Specialist. This individual shall be the primary point of contact for all Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) services. In addition, the individual shall provide the team with data management services that provide data protection, data retrieval, data categorization, and data assurance throughout the MCC information technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an onsite support specialist that will coordinate with the MCC Office of General Counsel (OGC) for all data retrieval services within MCC’s enterprise environment.
  • Design, configure, and organize data retrieval services for Microsoft applications or services that include e-mail, data storage files, file shares, and SharePoint.
  • Provide data retrieval services on cloud platforms that include, but not limited to, Amazon Web Services, Salesforce, and Google.
  • Monitor and review operating system logs to provide evidence of full data captures.
  • Provide data in formats acceptable to the business partner, which include Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Word, and PDF.
  • Provide information technology forensic services that maintain confidentiality, accountability, and integrity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn, grow, and adapt to a changing information technology environment.
  • Follow appropriate Privacy Act, local policy, and data security protocols.
  • Serve as a project manager and team lead.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft applications, IT infrastructure, and data types.
  • Knowledge of FOIA policies and practices sufficient to implement and monitor inquiries and provide staff support to management officials.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with the U.S. Government, international financial and development institutions, international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in areas relevant to MCC’s work.
  • Ability and experience working well as part of a multidisciplinary and international teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to proactively accomplish tasks with little to no supervision.
  • Knowledge of Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Skill to plan, organize, and implement programs, plans and proposals involving substantial organization resources.
  • Ability to analyze the assessment and improvement of complex programs, processes and systems.
  • Skill in conducting briefing and communicating in front of an audience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal, permanent resident with five years of residency history
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance at the SECRET level
  • Performance at MCC Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Relocation expenses will not be paid. Overseas travel may be required (to MCC eligible countries)
